St Valentine's Day should be abolished, Deputy Premier and Interior Minister Matteo Salvini said on Twitter and FacebookDThursday, posting a phot of himself looking yearningly out of the window in the wake of his recent split from TV cooking show host Elisa Isoardi.
"A hug to all you female friends, who give life, dreams and growth to this page and to Italy," said the far-right League party leader.
"St Valentine's? You are right, probably it's a 'feast' to be abolished...I love you".
