One in three firms in Italy risks
closure due to the coronavirus emergency, ISTAT said Tuesday.
The stats agency added that six out of 10 hotels and restaurants
were also at risk.
Some 38.3% of Italian firms say they may have to shutter their
doors this year, the report said.
The danger is higher among micro-firms (40.6%) and small
businesses (33.5%) but is also "significant" among medium firms
(22.4%) and large firms (18.8%).
Over 65% of eateries and hotels say they may go belly up
endangering over 800,000 jobs.
