German manager Harald Espenhahn will
start serving his five-year term for the deadly 2007 fire at
ThyssenKrupps' Turin factory no later than July 16, diplomatic
channels told Justice Minister Alfonso Bonafede Friday.
Espenhahn is among several managers to have been convicted over
the blaze, which killed seven workers.
Victims' relatives had voiced fears he might continue to evade
prison.
They have been fighting for justice for years.
