A 23-year-old Salvadorean man was
stabbed on a bus in Milan Sunday night in what police think is a
feud between rival Latino gangs in the Lombardy capital.
The man was taken to hospital with several wounds to his abdomen
and back but is not in a life threatening condition.
Witnesses told police he was attacked by around eight other
young men.
The victim said he did not know his assailants but police said
they do not believe him.
They say the incident is linked to ongoing vendettas between
'pandillas' or Latino gangs.
Violence between rival young South American gang members has
roiled Milan in the last few years.
No one has yet been killed.
