Former pope Benedict XVI flew to
Germany on Thursday to visit his sick brother, Vatican
Spokesman Matteo Bruni said.
Bruni said Benedict would stay with his 96-year-old brother
Georg in Regensburg "as long as necessary."
The pope emeritus travelled with his personal secretary,
Archbishop Georg Gänswein, the vice commander of the Vatican
Gendarmerie, and a small group of health care professionals and
collaborators, Vatican Daily reported.
