(ANSA) - Rome, June 25 - Italy's Andrea Pavan has won the BMW
International Open to conquer the second title of his career on
the European Tour.
The 30-year-old Roman beat Matthew Fitzpatrick Sunday in
Munich.
Both finished the tournament 15-under 273 overall, but Pavan
(who carded a bogey-free 6-under 66 in the final round) sealed
his victory with a birdie second time around.
Edoardo Molinari also registered an excellent result, coming
third (275, -13) together with, among others, Spain's Rafa
Cabrera Bello and Britain's Matt Wallace, winner of the 2018
edition of the BMW International Open.
This is the third victory of 2019 for an Italian golfer on
the top continental circuit.
After two wins by Guido Migliozzi (Kenya Open and Belgian
Knockout), Pavan scored his victory.
In August 2018, the Roman golfer had also won the D+D Real
Czech Masters.
