(ANSA) - BELGRADE, FEB 1 - The attempt by Italian MEPs to
observe the situation at the Croatian-Bosnian border on
Saturday, stopped by the Croatian police, was a "provocation,"
according to Croatian Interior minister, Davor Bozinovic. "This
is another in a series of provocations related to the actions of
the Croatian police in fulfilling their tasks, and that is the
protection of the state border," Bozinovic added, quoted by the
portal Balkan Insight. The MEPs, accompanied by journalists,
tried on Saturday to reach the Croatian border with Bosnia and
Herzegovina to check allegations about mistreatments by the
Croatian police towards migrants and refugees trying to cross
from Bosnia. (ANSA).
