(ANSA) - BELGRADE, 1 AUG - The Lithuanian energy group Ignitis will invest almost one billion euro in increasing its "green energy capacities" in the Baltic countries and Poland by 2023, the specialized portal Bne Intellinews reported.

The investments will be focused on wind, solar, hydro, waste and biomass powered plants and other green energy solutions in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland. The goal is to raise the renewable energy resources share of Ignitis from 1.1 GWh to 1.6-1.8 GWh by 2023 and to 4 GWh by 2030. Ignitis is the largest supplier of electricity and gas in Lithuania, where it provides more than 1.6 million people with key energy services, the company says on its official website. (ANSA).
