Germany: ZEW, renewed slump in expectations

Financial experts concerned about second wave effects on economy

10 November, 12:23
(ANSA) - BELGRADE, 10 NOV - The ZEW Indicator of Economic Sentiment for Germany has taken a new sharp decline in November, plummeting 17.1 points to a new reading of 39.0 points compared to October, the ZEW Institute said today. After the high of 77.4 points in September 2020, expectations have since fallen by 38.4 points, ZEW noted.

""Financial experts are concerned about the economic impact of the second wave of COVID-19 and what this will entail," said ZEW President Professor Achim Wambach. "There is also the additional worry that the German economy could head back into recession," Wambach added. (ANSA).
