Serbia: less illegal workers in the first half of the year

Inspections found 20% less undeclared employees

(ANSA) - BELGRADE, 16 LUG - Between January and June 2018, inspections in Serbia uncovered 20% less cases of illegal workers, the news agency Beta reported, adding that 8,000 more employers were inspected by the State authorities in the first six months of the year compared to the same period of 2017.

Stevan Djurovic, the acting head of the Serbian Ministry of Work and Employment's Directorate stated that the authorities found 22,000 people working without being registered last year, with 94% of them being properly registered after the inspections. (ANSA).
