A Zimbabwe Parks officer (R) shows
one of the European Union (EU) delegates (L) an elephant ivory
tusk stored in a vault at the Zimbabwe Parks and Wildlife
(Zimparks) head office in Harare, Zimbabwe, 16 May 2022. The
government is calling for the lifting of a ban on the sales of
elephant ivory tusks because of the huge stocks in the country.
Currently Zimbabwe has ivory stock worth 600 million US dollars
lying idle.
