Italian jobs were up 35,000 in October
on September and by 390,000 on the previous October but most of
the new employment was male, ISTAT said Thursday.
The unemployment rate among men fell 0.3 percentage points while
it remained stable for woman, the stats agency said.
Italy's unemployment rate rose 0.2% on September to 9.4% in
October, ISTAT said.
This was a yearly fall of 0.6%.
The data were linked to a fall in 'inactive' people, down 79,000
on September and by 425,00 on an annual basis.
The number of job seekers rose by 51,000 between September and
October while falling by 139,000 over rthe year, ISTAT said.
