The northern region of Alto Adige
will turn into a moderate COVID risk yellow zone on Monday after
a rise in virus cases there, regional health councillor Thomas
Widmann said Tuesday.
But there will be no real changes for citizens' lives as the
region on the border with Austria has already brought in
compulsory facemasks outdoors and FFP2 masks to be worn on
public transport, he said.
There has been a surge in booster jab demand and a fresh vaccine
offensive will be launched in mid-December, said Widmann.
On Monday, too, the tighter restrictions of the 'Super Green
Pass' will come into force.
