Napoli turned in their most
impressive performance of the season to thrash Lazio 4-0 at home
on Sunday and take sole command of the Serie A standings.
Dries Mertens scored a sublime double and Piotr Zielinski and
Fabian Ruiz were also on target as the Naples side outclassed
the visitors from Rome.
Napoli were able to go clear at the top of the table after AC
Milan lost 3-1 to Sassuolo at San Siro.
Napoli have 35 points from 14 games, three more than Milan and
four more than champions Inter, who won 2-0 at Venezia.
