Germany: employment slightly up in March
747,000 less people employed in comparison with February 2020

(ANSA) - BELGRADE, APR 29 - Around 44.3 million people
resident in Germany were in employment in March 2021, 16,000
more than in February, the German statistical office Destatis
said in a statement today. However, "the number of persons in
employment is still markedly below the pre-crisis level,"
Destatis noted. People employed in March 2021 were down by 1.7%,
or 747,000, on February 2020," the month before restrictions
were imposed due to the coronavirus pandemic in Germany," the
