Balkans: Jansa denied giving the EU document on borders

According to rumors, he gave Michel a controversial non-paper

(ANSA) - BRUSSELS, 13 APR - "Slovenia is seriously looking for solutions for the region's development and the European prospect of the Western Balkans' countries. These declarations try to hinder this objective." Slovenian PM Janez Jansa wrote on Twitter, denying press rumors about the existence of an informal document on the priorities of the Slovenian presidency of the EU semester in the Western Balkans, which would suggest the redefinition of the borders of the countries in the region.

According to Politicki.ba website, which cites sources in Ljubljana and Brussels, Jansa delivered between the end of February and the beginning of March to the President of the European Council, Charles Michel, a 'non-paper' focusing on the need to put an end to the dissolution of Yugoslavia.

The article refers to the exchange of territory between Kosovo and Serbia on an ethnic basis and a broader plan that would involve the "peaceful dissolution" of Bosnia-Herzegovina and North Macedonia. Jansa denied it on Twitter. The Croatian member of the tripartite presidency of Bosnia-Herzegovina, Zeljko Komsic, summoned the Slovenian ambassador to Sarajevo, Zorica Bukinac, who, however, denied the allegations.

Pahor's cabinet, speaking with the Balkan broadcaster, reiterated the Slovenian President's support for "the European integration process of Bosnia-Herzegovina and the country's territorial integrity." (ANSA).
