Employment up by 0.3% in the Euro area
Largest decreases were observed in Czechia, Croatia, Latvia

(ANSA) - BELGRADE, MAR 9 - The number of employed persons
increased by 0.3% in the euro area and by 0.4% in the EU in the
fourth quarter of 2020, compared with the previous quarter, the
European Union statistical office Eurostat said in a statement
today.
In the fourth quarter of 2020, Portugal, Estonia (both +1.9%) and Spain (+1.2%) recorded the highest growth of employment in persons compared with the previous quarter, while the largest decreases were observed in Czechia, Croatia, Latvia and Malta (all -0.5%), Eurostat said. (ANSA).
