(ANSA) - BRUSSELS, 14 LUG - Barring unforeseen circumstances, the European Commission on Thursday will launch an infringement proceeding against Poland due to LGBTI-free regions. The proceeding rests on the principle of "lack of sincere cooperation." According to ANSA, the government led by Mateusz Morawiecki did not cooperate when the EU Court asked them to provide information on the measure.

Poland will receive a letter of formal notice and will have two months to reply. On Thursday, the EU Court of Justice will rule on the disciplinary regime of judges, whereas the Polish Constitutional Court will answer on the primacy of EU law over national law. (ANSA).
