Austria to buy Sputnik V, but use after green light from EMA

(ANSA) - MOSCOW, 19 APR - The Austrian government has decided
to buy the Russian Sputnik V vaccine against coronavirus but
will use it only after the green light from the European
Medicines Agency (EMA). Chancellor Sebastian Kurz said, quoted
by Ria Novosti. "We have agreed to purchase 1 million doses of
Sputnik vaccine, which is already in use in more than 50
countries. We look forward to a quick registration by the EMA
because each additional vaccine will help us save lives, save
jobs and return to normal faster," Kurz added. (ANSA).
