Croatia: Peljesac Bridge joined together

(ANSA) - ZAGREB, JUL 29 - The Peljesac Bridge, in Croatia,
was joined together on Wednesday night, with the installation
of the last segment. The bridge stretches from the village of
Komarna on the coast to Brijesta on the peninsula of Peljesac,
de facto connecting Croatia in its entirety, the regional
television N1 reported.
The 2,440-metre bridge has 13 spans with pylons made of reinforced concrete, and two lanes. The bridge was built by China Road and Bridge Corporation (CRBC). "This is a project that connects, it does not divide," said Croatian PM Andrej Plenkovic. (ANSA).
