Space: Di Stefano, Italy at forefront in aerospace sector

At Czech-Italian Aerospace Business Forum, 45 B2B meetings

(ANSA) - TRIESTE, 03 FEB - Italy is "at the cutting-edge" of the aerospace sector, a sector that can be "one of the divers of economic development," said the outgoing Undersecretary for Foreign Affairs, Manlio Di Stefano, participating today in the 'Czech Italian Aerospace Business Forum,' an online event organized by the Embassy of Italy in Prague and by the Transport Ministry of the Czech Republic. During the meeting, Di Stefano underlined the strength of the Italian production sector and its leading "experiences" in aerospace technologies, with genuine prospects in the fields of satellite navigation, agriculture, geo-observation, and environmental protection.

Di Stefano emphasized this strength, which is also based on the Italian model of 'aerospace clusters,' such as the Lombard and Apulian ones, was in the spotlight at the business forum.

Space is "one of the biggest drivers of innovation," said Czech Deputy Minister of Transport Jan Sechter. The forum agenda also includes speeches by leading experts, including Giorgio Saccoccia, president of the Italian Space Agency, and more than 45 B2B virtual meetings between companies in the sector. There "large participation of companies" confirms the sectors', Saccoccia underlined. (ANSA).
