(ANSA) - ROME, FEB 15 - Italy's new food system, which is
increasingly oriented towards sustainability and innovation, was
the focus of the Innovation Talk "The future of the Italian food
system between innovation, safety and sustainability: organic
food and more", at the Italian pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai.
The initiative - organized in partnership with ITA - located
between the Italy Pavilion and Gulfood 2022, is the
international event on the future of food running in Dubai until
17 February.
The debate focuses on the way Italian companies are adjusting to
the new trend in which organic food is at the core of the
production process and increasingly connected to health,
sustainability, and the creation of long-term value for the
sector.
Among those participating were Paolo Glisenti, the Italian
Commissioner General for Expo 2020 Dubai; Savino Muraglia of the
Coldiretti National Council;
Roberta Gabrielli, Project Manager for the think tank Nomisma;
Oscar Farinetti, the President of Eataly; Mattia Adani, CEO of
Nowalchimica; Francesco Rossi Ferrini, CEO of Il Torriano; and
Nicola Lener, Italian Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates.
"This is a systemic and institutional presence strongly desired
by the Lombardy Regional Government," said Fiera Milano, "which
has offered the Innovation Lab, an ad hoc space designed for the
six months of the Expo and which will see encounters with the
ambassador and all the Italian institutions". (ANSA).
