(ANSA) - ZAGREBLA, 04 FEB - Although Croatia's
epidemiological situation is improving, the slow vaccine
distribution "forces us to balance our decisions regarding the
relaxation of restrictive measures." Croatian premier Andrej
Plenkovic said today. "The government must take into account the
general situation, the economic scenario, health, social and
deem a priority to protect our citizens' health," he added,
referring to the growing protests of some of the restaurateurs
and bar and gym owners that have been closed for months.
"In a democracy, it is legitimate to protest, but the
government must take into account the facts and all the
circumstances," the PM added. Since yesterday, Croatia has
recorded 516 new infections, and 18 people have died, bringing
the death toll to 5,106. (ANSA).
