Von der Leyen: vaccinations, Italy among positive examples

(ANSA) - BRUSSELS, 10 FEB - The EC president Ursula von der
Leyen, at the beginning of her speech at the European
Parliament's plenary, cited Italy among the three positive
examples of immunization campaign, along with Poland and
Denmark.
"At the end of February, in Poland, 94% of health workers and 80% of nursing home guests were vaccinated. In Denmark, the percentage is 93% for nursing homes; Italy has already vaccinated over 4% of the population - she said -, and these three examples show that the vaccination campaign in Europe has picked up speed."
