There have been 16,806 new cases of
COVID-19 in Italy in the last 24 hours, and 72 more victims of
the virus, the health ministry said Thursday.
That compares with 15,085 new cases and 103 more victims
Wednesday.
Some 679,462 more tests have been done, compared to 573,775
Wednesday.
The positivity rate is down from 2.6% to 2.47%.
Intensive care cases are up 12 to 698 and hospital admissions up
50 to 5,298.
The currently positive are 208,871, up 9,088 on Wednesday.
The recovered and discharged are 4,717,556, up 7,650 on
Wednesday.
The case tally since the start of the pandemic is 5,060,430, and
the death toll 134,003.
