Fincantieri on Thursday signed
a memorandum of understanding to build another four extra-luxury
ships for the MSC Crociere cruise line, worth over two billion
euros, the Trieste-based shipbuilders aid.
The delivery of the ships, which belong to a new and highly
innovative generation, will begin in the spring of 2023 and
continue at a rate of one a year, Fincantieri said.
They will have a gross tonnage of around 64,000 tonnes and
will have 500 cabins, the shipbuilder said.
