A 29-year-old Roman man was arrested by police at Rome's central Termini station on Thursday after allegedly attacking an 11-year-old boy with a box-cutter knife.
The aggressor said he reacted because the boy was robbing him and is said to have shouted "I'll kill you all". He is accused of grievous bodily harm.
The boy, who lives in a Roma camp, was taken to hospital with a cut to the head.
The would should heal within a week, the sources said.
