(ANSAmed) - ROMA, 09 LUG - Italy's antitrust authority has
taken out an injunction to prevent the ''implementation of a
boycott agreement'' between several cinema associations.
The agreement was between the Associazione Nazionale
Industrie Cinematografiche Audiovisive e Multimediali (ANICA),
the Associazione Nazionale Esercenti Cinema (ANEC) and the
Associazione Regionale Lazio Esercenti Cinema (ANEC Lazio) and
was against open-air free entrance movie screenings.
The move follows a complaint filed by the Cinema America
association, which puts on free film shows in the Italian
capital, among others.
