Defending champion Sofia Goggia said
she was satisfied on Monday after completing the final practice
run ahead of Tuesday's downhill race at the Beijing 2022
Olympics with the fourth-fastest time.
The 29-year-old is seeking to stage a remarkable return to
defend her title less than a month after damaging anterior
cruciate ligaments in her knee and fracturing her fibula racing
at Cortina d'Ampezzo.
"I did a good practice run, although I got some lines wrong"
Goggia told Rai Sport.
"My skiing was good, my legs fell good and I'm concentrating on
tomorrow.
"I am highly focused. I haven't been thinking about anything. My
energies have been directed at recovering physically.
"It's been a really difficult period, with many things to do in
very little time.
"The test I had to overcome was greater than the difficulty of
the race".
Goggia had been been in stunning form before the injury, winning
four World Cup downhills this season and two Super Gs.
