"The military ships transporting
migrants rescued in international waters will dock in Shengjin.
They will be identified first on board, then on the ground with
another Albanian identification and a health unit to verify
their health conditions. They will then be transported to the
centre, which is near a hospital. Thanks to this collaboration
with Albania, their rights will be for sure respected," said
Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani, speaking from the Albanian port
of Shengjin, where the centre for migrant identification will be
built, as foreseen by the Protocol on cooperation in migration
matters between Italy and Albania.
