This is the outcome of studies conducted by research groups from the Universities of Padua and Trieste that evaluated the environmental and economic sustainability of green hydrogen produced with electrolyzers powered by renewable electricity, compared to other types of hydrogen (gray, blue, and 'grid').
The study was published in the Journal of Applied Energy and is the result of a collaboration carried out in recent years by the two research groups coordinated by Alberto Bertucco, professor of Chemical Plants in Padua, and Maurizio Fermeglia, professor of Principles of Engineering Chemistry in Trieste.
