According to Democratic Party MP
Debora Serracchiani, the Italian government has approved funding
for a feasibility study for the so-called "Green Corridor,"
which is intended to transport green hydrogen produced in
Morocco and in transit through the Port of Trieste as a
logistics hub for energy raw materials distributed in
Central/Eastern Europe via the Transalpine Oil Pipeline. The
project aims to improve the hydrogen logistics chain connecting
Morocco and Trieste.
Serracchiani underlined that "thanks to green hydrogen, the
Kingdom of Morocco is becoming one of the most important
destinations in the entire Mediterranean for research and the
sustainability of energy processes, in which countries such as
Germany and the Netherlands have decided to invest."
